Welcome to the seventh edition of
MAKE & SHARE!

I
hope your weeks has been blessed. I did a few sponsored posts and wrote about some other things I just loved. 1. Like the jewelry my high school friend is now making, NajitĂ© Jewelry Boutique. 2. Oh just lovely! Another town favorite of mine from the Vintage Pearl. I still can not believe I share the same city with such greatness. I pretty much wrote about all things things I wanted for Mother's Day. 3. I thought the 2-in-1 pictures from Snapily were really neat.

1.   2.   3.

This week I was not able to get around to picking features. I'm so grateful to inlinkz I posted their cute tiny frog face in my sidebar. Sorry for the late start, I'm so glad you're still stopped in. Consider this an extension I guess.

How was your Mommy Day spent? I did get to sleep in and breakfast got made by someone other than me. The Hubs got to stay home under not so planned circumstances. Our car broke down last Saturday so he was sort of stuck with me .)

Update: I'd like to take this craft linky to HOMEmomMADE. Don't worry it's just next door. That's part of the reason I was late this week. Next week I'll start redirecting hoppers on over to http://HOMEmomMADE.blogspot.com/. This blog will focus on starting my own Etsy shop. I've only one thing listed so far. I'd really love to make and sell cloth diapers. I'll be posting on that in the weeks to come.

Welcome to the sixth edition of

Welcome everyone! Last week I had a little mishap. I thought my linky subscription would make it one more weekend and it didn't. I still have not found a free thumbnail linky, so sad because pictures are what make this hop Hop. I get why they storing images is so expensive and why most linky services have started charging fees.

I'm now using SimplyLinked and will post your images by hand after they are entered. It will be a bit time consuming but well worth it I think. Plus I love messing around with code. I'm not sure if anyone noticed but I can't seem to leave my widgets and fonts alone for more than two days. Can we say perfectionist? Not a quality I admire.
UPDATE: InLinkz is now working for me. They were a huge help with this too.
Last week's entries were low but some of you stopped in anyways and I greatly appreciate it. Troopers!

My First-Favorite is...

Piggy Pies by  TalesOfATrophyWife
I actually did this a few weeks ago with silver spray paint.
I love this green-teal color much better.
The piggies look like they're rolling in the mud, looks yummy!

Lastly I love silhouette art!

Welcome to the fifth edition of
MAKE & SHARE!

The Hubs and I had a wonderful date in the ER. I'm not joking. I got really nauseous last Thursday and Friday I got sick several times and ended up begging to go to the hospital. I've gotten sick like this before. It's really not pretty and resulted from poor eating habits and out of whack stomach acids. This time pepcid did not fix the issue and I ended up spending my wonderfully planned date night hooked up to an IV in the hospital. I'm okay today and much better just weary of what and when I eat.

I was late getting thank yous out for you all stopping in last week. I really do love how you take the time to stop in, link up, and comment every week. I also love all the great ideas I get for decorating my house. Make sure you check out my HomeMomGiftGuide for Make Mom's Day complete with exclusive discounts and deals for you, my readers.

How will you #makemomsday this Mother's Day? I see a broach like this in my near future. I've not even made the tissue flowers from last week yet but it's on my "list".

I love how vintage this looks and it's handmade with some parts upcycled.

Photos are a big deal in our house with The Hubs starting to venture out with RealXpressions.
This piece works two ways as functional art.

Thrift store books wanted, ASAP!
I've always wanted to make wreaths like this, to the "list" again.

Yes, I would eat these for breakfast.
On special days like Mother's Day you're allowed to eat sweets for breakfast.
That's one of those rules I like to make up and enforce.

You all don't know how excited I get to see what you've linked up. Keep it coming and tell your friends!
I'm thinking of putting together another Handmade/Homemade/GiftGuide with a grand Giveaway (That's a mouthful!). If you're interested email me at christyhayhurst at hotmail dot com.

I wanted to point back to this guideline for this blog hop... Is anything prohibited?
Adding links that are not your own. Example, you see something really great on Martha Stewart's site and add her direct link. Not cool, and always ALWAYS give credit when and where it's due. Any work you did not actually MAKE hence Make & Share .)
I don't want to seem like a stickler but there are tons of great blog hops out there for linking up and provide great publicity for your blog. This is a creative craft linky, to inspire beginners and motivate pros. I know you understand .)

Get it? Got it? Now Grab it!
if you wanna, no pressure

If you were featured grab that one too.

Wrong! I'm so sorry, my free trial with McLinky expired today and blog hopping linkys with thumbnails are no longer free.

While I search for an alternative I'm posting the 12 entries that were linked up before this mishap.

I sort of like seeing everyone's crafts with a huge thumbnail. Thank you all for linking up. Please feel free to comment with a link to your craft for further entries!Just until next week.

H appy Easter everyone! I'm loving how all of the crafts up until now have been themed with this month's Holiday. I have to say I've cheated, my mom did the whole egg dying thing with my kiddos. It's sort of her thing. The kids look forward to it and Hubs and I get a...
wait for it... a DATE! No kids, just the two of us. Woo-Hoo!
Our last date was in October. Wow, once every six months is doing pretty good. I have no clue where we are going, but who cares. I get to have a FULL adult convo with The Hubs minus kids interrupting, fighting, whining, screaming... minus kids.

I love that you guys keep coming back. I hope you all have a great Easter weekend and enjoy your families. If you're like me this is one of the toughest times of year for chocolate temptation. Maybe it's just me. Have fun hopping, pun intended .)

Since our party was was on the slim last week I've featured a great craft idea I found in blogland.

Here is a great gift to give to all your girlfriends. Business Card Holders.
You could even make them match. I sort of like the similar but different look.

These lovelies were made at TheCraftyCupboard with instructions and a tutorial

I'd love to help make and then get these pretties for
Mother's Day...

Welcome to the third edition of
MAKE & SHARE!

April 15, 2011

**Make & Share has moved to HOMEmomMADE**

Consistent we are. Almost 100 projects have been linked up in the past two weeks. Ladies you all are amazing! I keep thinking that if I just sit down at my sewing machine with a general idea, "if she thinks, it will be" type of thing. It is so much more than that. You have to be focused on what you are doing. Half of the time I want to fall asleep right there in my chair because the droll of the machine is so soothing. I think I need nap time more than my kids.

Here are some of my favorites from last week's Make & Share:

This Lemon Head Wreath from TheCraftyScientist.

First let me just tell you I was really heartbroken by the loss of such a great and sweet friend. Did I mention tasty? Lemon Heads were my favorite candy growing up. If I didn't have chocolate this was my next in line.
However, I do love the vibrant yellow of this wreath.

This Skirt Refashion from MakingTheWorldCuter         and I've never seen Easter Egg Cookies like this...

I'm in love with ruffles and not afraid to be a bit girly .)          you'll be surprised by what these cookies are filled with.

and lastly SocialStudiesMomma submitted her First Quilt and a way to help Japan through the quilting ranny.

I have been wanting to do something for Japan and have still come up with nothing. I've only just begun to sew, I even donated all my swagbucks which only turned out to be 63¢. I thought 85 SBs equivicated higher than that .( Although I may not be making a quilt I admire those who are using their skills to do good for those in need.

Here are some quick party Q&As.
How long does this party last?
The linky begins today, Friday, and will end Saturday. I will then post my faves from this party on the following Friday's party.
What can I link to?
Crafts, Projects, or Tutorials you've MADE.
